This week I've had the urge to purge.
It began when I started to clean out my craft room and it has consumed me.
I went through e.v.e.r.y. piece of clothing I owe. My rule was if I hadn't worn it in a year, it was out. I just wanted to weed out stuff that I didn't wear or didn't fit well anymore.
This was a little tricky to do at 23 weeks pregnant, because nothing really fits well anymore but I had to remind myself that I may want those clothes again one day.
I consigned almost 50 items.
Locals: I recommend Salvaged in Wyndhurst.
Closets got hit, storage bins got cleaned out, and my yard sale pile began to grow.
Locals: April 21 I'm teaming up with some friends to have a HUGE yard sale. Mark your calendars.
As we begin to move around furniture to different rooms, there are some things that I reluctantly must part with and will make their way to craigslist.
Floor Lamp - SOLD
Art Easel/Painting Bench
4x6 Faux Bois/Wood Grain Rug - SOLD
Table Lamp (matches floor lamp) - SOLD
Brushed Nickel Queen Bedframe - SOLD
(I'm most sad about having to part with this. It doesn't fit in the room that will become our guest bedroom.)
Locals: If you're interested in something, feel free to shoot me an email or check craigslist.
It feels good to begin to get rid of stuff and make room for a little boy to join our household!
Post when your'e having your yard sale. I live here in town too and I LOVE a good yard sale! I need to have one too I'm just to lazy and took it to Goodwill.:-/
ReplyDeleteI will be sure to do that! I love to yard sale too, so I know how a good yard sale should be - cheap! :)
DeleteI love your blog!
DeleteI like to see what you've done to your house. It looks like mine (a nice 1957 model).
Thanks girl! I have a special place in my heart for little brick ranch houses. I think ours was built in 1959! :)
